How I'd do-

CHRIS HERO

Chris has ability and charisma, so what's my issue with him? Well, I'll tell you. I don't like his gimmick, his look, or his wrestling gear. Chris just doesn't look like a "star". He looks like an enhancement talent from the 1980's WWF, you keep expecting The Ultimate Warrior to run down to the ring, shake the ropes a few times, hit Chris with five clothes lines, press him over his head, let him fall to the mat, body splash, and pin him. Seriously, that's what I expect to see when I look at Chris Hero.

But Fury, you say, isn't this a pro ROH site?! How can you slam a great wrestler like Hero?

Fair question, but I'm not "slamming him" as much as I am making suggestions and or offering constructive criticism. As I said, Hero is a very good wrestler, and he's fairly good on the mic as well. I enjoy watching him perform but he just doesn't look the part that he can and does play.

Here, take a look-

And that's his www.rohwrestling.com profile picture!

Here are a few other random shots-

Can you honestly tell me he looks good? That he looks like a legitimate threat? NO! He looks like some of the worst created superstars in WWE RAW vs SMACKDOWN video games! The picture to the left sees him in yellow pants with white stars accompanied by a red white and blue belt, and black shirt. The upper right has him looking something like an ugly woman with chin hairs, and the bottom left, while clearly the best of all the pictures I've posted has that pathetic Superman rip off symbol and the scruffy street person look that would suite well for a tag team partner of the Necro Butcher.

So, what would I do with Chris Hero? Well first of all I'd cut his hair, maybe even a buzz cut. The guy just doesn't look good with the long main, he looks like a bum. Secondly, I'd get him some real wrestling gear, no shirts, and a pair of trunks. If he insists on keeping the Superman ripoff symbol, put a small one on the trunks somewhere and maybe on the side of a boot as well but no more. I'd make sure the trunks and boots always matched as well. Thirdly, I'd get him wearing a cool ring jacket with HERO on it somewhere, but nothing else. No symbol, no stars, nothing but Hero across the back, or down the side or arms. Lastly, I'd make him a face, play up the "Hero" name. I mean why not use that name to an advantage? Have him stand for HONOR in ROH. It would work.

Chris used to be nearly clean shaven with short hair and looked much better. Check it out-

BIG difference imo, for the better! A face Chris Hero with this look could go far.
